For those who have not seen my larger body of work, this piece is actually a comment about how global warming is being discussed in the public arena.

This is known as selection bias and is one of the easiest mistakes to make when trying to find the truth. People seriously think to themselves, "I know that I am correct because all of my friends agree with me. There are some people who disagree, but most of them are hateful and ill-informed and thus not worth taking seriously."
